The workshop “Environmental Change due to Socio Economic Change - How we can explain the linkages between natural and political systems in the context of rapid socioeconomic change ?” will take place in Leipzig and Jena next week with the support of the iDiv Flexpool Support Fund, the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry of Jena.

This workshop is jointly organized by Prof. Dr. Solveig Richter (Heisenberg Professor for International Relations and Transnational Politics University of Leipzig), Dr. Carlos A. Sierra ( Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences), Prof. Dr. Miguel Mahecha (Remote Sensing Centre for Earth System Research, University of Leipzig, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, UFZ) and Prof. Dr. Pablo A. Ramos (School of Rural and Environmental Studies Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Bogotá, Colombia).
