Dr. Wubing Xu

Research interests

My research interests include macroecology, community ecology, conservation biology, with particular focuses on biodiversity patterns across spatial scales and the underlying processes and how environmental changes can affect biodiversity patterns. In the Biodiversity Synthesis Lab, my focus is on examining how biodiversity change through time and testing whether species compositions are experiencing biotic homogenization. I will combine community data with species distributions at broad spatial scales to examine the change of assemblage rarity in the Anthropocene.
