Project summary:
This project brings together world-leading researchers in ecology, evolution and genetics to seek greater understanding of how biodiversity will respond to climate change. The projects will synthesise state-of-the-art knowledge from population ecology, community ecology, evolutionary ecology and population genetics within a new computer simulation tool. This novel software will provide a common platform for addressing a broad range of important current issues, both fundamental and applied. It will facilitate integration between subdisciplines and thus help us progress towards providing robust recommendations for managing our biodiversity under the multiple human-caused pressures that it currently faces.
