Prof. Josef Settele is one of three among the world’s most eminent experts on the intersection of nature and human well-being who were selected by the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) as co-chairs for its Global Assessment. Settele is a scientist at the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ and a member of iDiv. The Assesment involves more than 100 experts worldwide and is planned to be published in 2019.
