yDiv welcomes new doctoral researchers
yDiv coordinator Dr Mari Bieri opens the 4th yDiv Admission Symposium

The fourth yDiv admission symposium for associated doctoral researchers took place on February 23rd, 2015. Two doctoral researchers presented their scientific projects to colleagues at yDiv and iDiv, also explaining how their research topic relates to the main themes of iDiv – the detection, emergence, consequences and conservation of biodiversity. Besides discussion on the scientific topics, the representatives of the yDiv board were interested to learn about the personal motivation behind the new candidates willingness to join yDiv. Presentations were given by Markus Germany (MLU Halle-Wittenberg) and Galini Papadopoulou (iDiv/FSU Jena), and were followed by lively discussion.
