This workshop provides a current picture of mental health in graduate students. You'll hear about:

  • How to support their mental health; what does it mean to have mental health; how to help our students flourish; mindset traps to look out for
  • How to ask if they need help and what to do – a step by step guide
  • Setting the right foundations for a research group that thrives
  • Competence – Reframing what challenges mean, creating meaningful wins often
  • Feedback & Listening. How to optimise both
  • Belonging and why it is essential for our students to experience it
