Plant diversity is crucial for successful ecosystem

Utrecht/Leipzig. Ecosystems can only function well if there is a diverse mixture of plants across the landscape. That is concluded after doing fieldwork in fifteen different countries on five continents. The results of the study involving three iDiv scientists of Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg are published in Nature Ecology and Evolution.
