New iDiv colleagues published survey in Nature Communications

New iDiv colleagues, Carsten Meyer and Walter Jetz, today published a comprehensive survey of global species distribution data in Nature Communications. The study reveals the largest data gaps in emerging economies like Brazil, China, India, and Russia. Data completeness is mainly limited by geographical distance to researchers, locally available research funding and political commitment to data-sharing.
