U.S. scientists Jonathan Chase and Stan Harpole appointed as professors

In a joint appointment process of iDiv, UFZ and the Martin Luther University two key positions of iDiv were filled. Jonathan Chase has adopted the common vocation of iDiv and the Martin Luther University and takes over the leadership of the research department "Biodiversity Synthesis". Stan Harpole is the new head of "Physiological Diversity". His professorship is part of the cooperation of the Martin Luther University, the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), and iDiv.
