It is important that everyone working at iDiv can develop to his or her full potential. To promote that this will happen, iDiv has installed an Equal Opportunity Committee (EOC) representing the breadth of iDiv employees and members. Our task is to facilitate activities and discussions to ensure that everyone at iDiv is able to work here with pleasure and without severe limitations, independent of whether they have a family, come from a different culture or have a disability. The EOC meets regularly to evaluate and fund activities promoting these goals.

Providing equal opportunities for everyone at iDiv includes making the workplace “science” more family-friendly. To achieve this aim, the EOC allocates funds for child care within the framework of the “iDiv Child Care Program”. You will find the criteria for organisation and funding of child care here.

In addition, the Early-Career Women in Science Fund is dedicated to funding activities specifically promoting equal opportunities for female scientists at iDiv.

The EOC has also installed two counsellors. iDiv employees or doctoral researchers with individual work-related problems can approach them for a listening ear and advice.
