The Governance Task Force proposed complementing iDiv’s Local Committees (where members are organised geographically) with “Thematic Committees”, where members can come together around specific research initiatives, similar to the Taproot initiatives from a few years ago. This proposal was well-received and supported. As a result, all Local Committees now have the opportunity to suggest research topics for the “Thematic Committees” and present them at the first Representation Board meeting. Elections for the Representation Board are underway, with the inaugural meeting expected in early 2025. Invitations will follow in due course.
