Contents
The course will cover metabarcoding wetlab techniques and data processing with the dada2 package in R, followed by the calculation of taxon (alpha, beta, and gamma) diversity. The course will conclude with an introduction to multivariate statistics, using the vegan package in R. The course includes lectures and extensive practical exercises.
Following the course, participants will be able to understand and select the most appropriate methods to process metabarcoding data to answer scientific questions.
Further remarks:
Participants must arrive to the course with their personal computer, with R studio installed, and with the dada2, phyloseq, and vegan packages installed. Package installation information will be provided prior to the course. Participants are required to be comfortable using R studio.
