Mastering data analysis with traditional programming languages like Matlab, Python, or R can take time. However, with the emergence of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot, learning to code and analyze complex data sets has never been easier or faster. These tools empower anyone—from beginners to seasoned analysts—to boost their programming skills at an unprecedented pace.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn how to leverage AI to perform data analysis, even with no prior coding experience.
  • Discover how large-language-model (LLM) tools like ChatGPT can accelerate your programming and data analysis capabilities.
  • Use AI-based copilots as pair-programming partners to advance your data analysis skills toward becoming an expert.

The workshop emphasizes hands-on practice, working in small groups with your own data sets to apply the techniques learned immediately. You’ll walk away with practical knowledge that you can continue to build on after the session.
