Generative AI, starting with tools like ChatGPT, has become the major technological revolution of this decade. In this workshop, we will explore how AI is transforming science, academia, teaching, and education.

You will receive an overview of AI tools available for various applications, including literature research, scientific writing, data analysis, and visualization. We will also explore the fundamental algorithms that drive generative AI, helping you understand which tools to use in different contexts and how to avoid common pitfalls, such as AI hallucinations. Further, we will critically examine potential drawbacks, such as issues related to data privacy, AI biases that can lead to discrimination, and the limitations of AI in fostering creativity. The workshop concludes with an open dialogue on strategies for the future, where we will engage in discussions on how to integrate AI responsibly and effectively into our academic and scientific work.
