Call for Flexpool Support Fund projects

The Flexpool mechanism of iDiv is explicitly designed to promote integrative activities among scientists within the iDiv consortium. The Flexpool Support Fund pursues the same aims as the Flexpool mechanism and extends them to the wider iDiv community.

In 2021, two calls will be available with the following deadlines:
Call #1: 03 February 2021
Call #2: 14 April 2021

Through the FP Support Fund mechanism, costs eligible within the DFG funding regulations can be requested; the total costs for a given project should not exceed 10k EUR. Strong justifications for higher costs will be considered.
Examples for potential funding items are
• Student or research assistants (Hiwis)
• Workshops
• Travel costs (e.g., conferences/ workshops/ inquiries/ meetings with project partners/ lab visits)
• Consumables (e.g., study costs)
• Small equipment

All iDiv scientists, including full and associate members, post- and doctoral researchers, are eligible to apply.

Proposals need to be submitted as a single PDF-file to the member relations officer at iDiv, Dr. Christa Genz (christa.genz@idiv.de) no later than 03 February 2021 or 14 April 2021, respectivelybefore the evaluation process starts.

Full-length PDF-version of the call can be downloaded here.

The template for proposal submission can be downloaded here.

Fast-track call for ‘Taproot’ projects

Within this call, we invite fast-track proposals for seed money for integrative research projects contributing to iDiv’s ‘Taproot’ initiative. Specifically, we are looking for projects that need to strengthen their integrative potential and enhance the recognition and added value of their synergies. Projects can, but need not, fit into an existing or already defined ‘Taproot’, but must show potential to develop integration and depth in a research area core to the central iDiv mission.

Consumable funds are offered to foster any type of interaction that is needed to develop the project further (e.g., kick-off and regular meetings, seminars, workshops, lab visits, etc.), and are expected not to exceed 10k€; strong justifications for higher costs will be considered. Personnel costs and catering services are not included in this call.

All iDiv scientists, including full and associate members, post- and doctoral researchers, are eligible to apply.

Proposals need to be submitted as a single PDF-file to the member relations officer at iDiv, Dr. Christa Genz (christa.genz@idiv.de) before the evaluation process starts.

Full-length PDF-version of the call can be downloaded here.
