Joint International Synthesis Call

“Interactions between biodiversity and climate change”

Given the global nature of the tightly linked climate and biodiversity crises, several synthesis centres around the world have joined forces to synthesize knowledge linking the biodiversity and climate change crises. This call for proposals is for working groups that will commence in 2026. While the international call is still active at other synthesis centers, the sDiv portion of the call has already concluded. See the next paragraph for funding decisions.

Decisions for Joint International Synthesis Call

Within the latest call, sDiv has received 15 pre-proposals for working group projects. 7 applicants received a positive evaluation of their pre-proposal and were invited to hand in a full proposal.

After intensive discussions of the internal and external reviews of proposals of very high scientific quality, the sDiv Evaluation Board has decided to support 2 working group projects. The possibility of funding one additional project is under review and depends on further assessment of funding capability.

Congratulations to our new sDiv working groups and future sDiv collaborators!
