iDiv Summer School 2026

The next iDiv Summer School in 2026 will focus on “Passion for collecting – Collection-Based Research in Plant Ecology” and will be led by Solveig Franziska Bucher (SIP Jena), Sebastian Gebauer (SIP Jena), and Robert Rauschkolb (PhenObs).

Since 2015, iDiv has been sharing its innovative approach to integrative biodiversity research with students and early career researchers worldwide.

The iDiv Summer School showcases the impressive breadth of research at iDiv, offering participants training in various areas of integrative biodiversity research. Each year, iDiv scientists alternate leading the summer school to ensure multiple research areas are covered. Participants also get an in-depth look at the iDiv research centre and the chance to network with iDiv scientists.

To ensure that talented individuals can participate regardless of their financial situation, iDiv offers financial support for participants from the Global South.
