The Spatial Interaction Ecology research group of Prof Tiffany Knight at the Institute of Biology of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg offers the following student assistant positions with a preferred starting date of 1 July 2018:

1 Scientific Assistant (f/m)

Ref. 2018-2

  • working hours vary between 15–20 hours per week
  • initially limited to 6 months
  • salary will be determined in accordance with TV-L depending on the assigned tasks and personal qualifications

HIWI/student helper (f/m)

incl. option for BSc/MSc thesis
Data support for project: ‘Influence of land tenure on global environmental sustainability’

  • working hours: 8–19h/week
  • preferred starting data is in June 2018
  • ideally for at least 1 year
  • salary: depending on your personal profile, a payment of 9.87 EUR/h to 11.49 EUR/h

in Data Analysis/Geo-Computation (incl. option for MSc. thesis)

  • joint supervision of Dr Meyer (iDiv/Leipzig University) and Prof Müller-Hannemann (Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg)
  • working time: 16 hours per week for 2 years
  • salary depending on personal qualifications (payment of 9.45 EUR/h to 11.01 EUR/h)
