Mental health challenges affect employees and researchers across all status groups in academic and research institutions. Colleagues are often among the first to notice changes in behavior, communication, or performance, yet many feel uncertain about how to respond appropriately or how to address concerns in a constructive and respectful manner.

This interactive workshop is designed for participants from all status groups at iDiv. It provides practical, evidence-based guidance on how to recognize warning signs of mental distress and how to support colleagues responsibly.

Key areas of the workshop:

  1. Understanding mental health (in the workplace)
  2. Recognizing warning signs
  3. Approaching colleagues constructively
  4. Providing initial support and finding help
  5. Q & A session and case discussion

This workshop is funded by Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee and is open to all status groups at iDiv.
