Research interests

My research interests lie at the intersection of soil zoology, trophic ecology of invertebrates, microbiology, and virology. The main objects of my research are microbial communities and viromes of soil invertebrates, their habitats and food resources. I have particular interest in the links between the taxonomic and functional composition of such microbial communities to invertebrate traits: their feeding types and social groups (families and castes). My current work is focused on studying viral diversity and distribution across soil food webs.
