Bioinformatics Unit (BIU)

What do we do?

The responsibility of the Bioinformatics Unit (BIU) include the analysis of molecular data retrieved by high-throughput methods like next-generation sequencing (NGS), the development of new methods and software tools for this analysis, and consultancy of iDiv scientist in the analysis of this kind of data. Moreover, the BIU plays a role in the implementation and operation of the IT infrastructure needed for processing and storing molecular data.
