Mentoring programme

The iDiv mentoring programme is relationship-oriented and a long-term programme. As mentee you will benefit from a professionally experienced mentor from the iDiv member network, who will accompany and consult you over a period of 12 months.

The goal is to support you in your professional development through guidance, goal-oriented conversations and broadening your professional network.

A confidential mentoring relationship is based on a mutual give and take, while the mentee and mentor benefit equally in an open and trusted atmosphere.

Our target group are highly-qualified postdocs within the iDiv consortium, who aspire a junior research group leadership, junior professorship or professorship at a German university. Applicants should have a high commitment to an academic career.

Our mentoring programme combines the following elements

One-to-one mentoring

Peer mentoring / workshops

Our mentors

Our mentors are excellent and experienced scientists and professors within the iDiv member network, who are linked to one of the executing institutions or partner institutions of iDiv.

Starting in 2021

In spring/summer 2021, our first 12-months mentoring programme with max. 10 mentee-mentor-tandems will start. The programme will start with a Welcome & Networking event. The call and matching phase for mentors and mentees will be announced soon on this website.
