The seminar deals with the planning and successful implementation of projects in science. Common project management tools are introduced and specified for scientific project contexts. Risk assessment and pro-activeness are especially important for early career scientists – as they usually are on temporary contracts.

The tools presented will be linked back to the personal experiences of the participants in self- and project management.

Course aim: Participants will understand the basics of project management both on the factual level (planning, controlling, finances) as well as on the personnel level (structures, decision making processes, communication).
