This training course is designed for students and scientists interested in theoretical and hands-on aspects of mycorrhizal symbiosis. Practical laboratory sessions for observation, quantification and identification of mycorrhizal fungi (endomycorrhiza and ectomycorrhiza) and mycorrhizal structures in plant roots will be supported by lectures and discussion.
The aim is to gain theoretical knowledge in mycorrhizal symbiosis, histological techniques for staining mycorrhizal fungi and practical skills for quantification and observation of mycorrhizal structures.
The workload is 20 hours consisting of 2 full days (16 hours) plus 4 hours of homework for report development.
