This course offers you an overview about the application of metabolomics in ecological and biodiversity research. We will explore the tools and approaches that are used to obtain, process and analyse metabolomics data.

Didactic aims/ competencies gained

After completing the course, you will have the necessary skills to design a metabolomics experiment and apply bioinformatics software to carry out the basic steps of data analysis.

Didactic elements

The course programme will consist of lectures, hands-on sessions in sampling, sample preparation, metabolomic data analyses, and critical discussions on metabolomic datasets and case studies. The course will partially take place on green houses/botanical garden and the laboratories of the Molecular Interaction Ecology group.

Please apply until 1 July 2018 with a short motivation letter explaining your reasons and expectations and send it to Henriette Uthe There will also be two travel grants available (covering the costs of travel and accommodation.
