Courses and Training

As a member of yDiv, you are given the chance to profit from a wide variety of biodiversity-related courses. These courses seek to strengthen your skills and key competencies in the field of biodiversity research. On top of that, yDiv also offers a range of courses with the aim to enhance professional skills. The yDiv curriculum requirements are specified in the PhD Guide (PDF).

This section offers information on upcoming and previous yDiv courses, as well as links to the course websites of yDiv partners. Courses on biodiversity or professional skills completed outside of yDiv can be accounted for in the yDiv curriculum.

Once the registration on the course site is open, yDiv members and PhD students of the associated graduate schools and academies can apply. The application is done via the link on the respective course page. If you have any difficulties during the application process, please contact the yDiv coordination team.

Further opportunities: Statistics consultancy and courses

The Theory in Biodiversity Science (TiBS) group offers a consultation in theory, maths and statistics, happening each Wednesday from 3 - 4 pm. Please write an email in advance with a brief description of your problem to Dr. Benjamin Rosenbaum or Dr. Björn Rall, if you are planning to take part in the consultation.

Each HIGRADE statistics course has two seats reserved for yDiv doctoral researchers. To register and see when the next courses will happen, just click the link.
