1-3 sessions, max. 4.5 hours in total

Objectives

yDiv offers external coachings to promote the individual career development of iDiv doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in addition to the supervision by their PIs.

The coaches provide support in specific career questions, e.g. career in and outside academia, competence analysis or feedback on application documents. Specific topics and goals of the coaching will be set together with the coach. Coaching topics are treated absolutely confidential by the coach.

The coaching is offered by external professionals on an individual basis and one-to-one. The meetings take place online.

Target group: Doctoral researchers (yDiv members) and postdoctoral researchers at iDiv

How it works

  1. From the list below, choose a coach who suits your needs best.

  2. Contact the yDiv coordination (ydiv@idiv.de) to register for the programme and name the coach (your registration will be treated absolutely confidential and you don't have to justify your registration).

  3. yDiv will inform the coach about your registration and the coach will contact you to make an online appointment.

  4. The first session ususally focuses on getting to know each other and setting the topics and goals for the coaching. If you prefer, you can also just get feedback on your application documents.

  5. You can arrange further meetings with the coach individually (up to 4.5 hours in total).
