Goals
The aims of this workshop are to get to know the basic rules and values of good scientific practice, including responsible research documentation and authorship. The participants will discuss questionable conduct of research and misconduct and learn about possible solutions for difficult situations.
Content
The workshop is based on the curriculum „Good scientific practice“ which was commissioned by and developed in cooperation with the German Ombudsman für die Wissenschaft:
- Definition of good scientific practice and scientific misconduct & DFG guidelines
- Dealing with scientific misconduct
- Data management and research documentation
- Authorship
- Supervision
