Research fields

A biologist by training, I’ve always been interested in the applied side of ecology and conservation. I started my career as a consultant for environmental impact assessments, spending my days and nights catching and radio-tracking bats in the forests of Hesse. In 2014, I joined iDiv as a PhD researcher to work on rewilding and received my PhD from the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg in 2019. As Science-Policy coordinator I support iDiv researchers in making their research accessible to policy makers from the global to the local level through targeted publications, workshops and other events.
