My general research interests are in the field of biodiversity monitoring, species distributions, wildlife perception and land-use change. In my PhD thesis, I am studying the attractiveness of birds on humans as an example for a cultural ecosystem service by synthesizing data from citizen science and atlas projects and incorporating sound- and image-processing tools.
