Dr Stefanie Döll
Having studied botany with a focus on plant-environment interactions, I concentrated during my PhD on the regulation of secondary metabolism under biotic and abiotic stress. I investigated the regulation of phenylpropanoid biosynthesis with methods from molecular biology and analytical chemistry. I am specialized in untargeted metabolite profiling with LC-QToF-MS that investigates questions like finding differences between control and stress treatment, mutant and WT or even describes the whole part of the metabolome accessible by this method. During the last years, the analysis of root and leaf exudates from cultivated or wild plant species became the main focus of my work.
