German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv)

The Science-Policy department communicates results of iDiv research to decision-makers in politics, economy and the civil society. In policy briefs and position papers on iDiv’s core topics as well as during Science-Policy events we inform about cutting-edge biodiversity research and provide the best available scientific evidence as a basis for decisions and recommendations for action.
The department also supports the Science-Policy committee as well as individual iDiv researchers and working groups in a variety of Science-Policy activities, e.g., their engagement in the International Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) or the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
