invasions are considered one of the largest threats to biodiversity, and research on the causes of invasions has exploded in the past two decades.\u00a0 Despite over 1,000 publications in the field of invasion biology, Ecologists have still not reached consensus on which mechanisms cause some non-native species to dominate and alter community structure and ecosystems functions, while other non-native species fail to do so. \u00a0At sDiv, I will examine how spatial scale, multivariate functional traits and phylogenetic relationships between non-native plants and resident communities influence invasiveness.
