Mit dem F\u00f6rderpreis wird Potapovs internationales Forschungsprojekt CARBONWEB \u00fcber einen Zeitraum von f\u00fcnf Jahren mit rund zwei Millionen Euro finanziert. Ziel des Projekts ist es, die Auswirkungen der Bodenfauna auf globale \u00d6kosystemfunktionen zu ermittlen und Ver\u00e4nderungen in den Boden-Nahrungsnetzen und die Folgen zu untersuchen.<\/p>\n<p>Potapov entwickelte seine Ideen und schrieb einen Gro\u00dfteil des F\u00f6rderantrags w\u00e4hrend seiner Zeit in Leipzig, wo er von 2022 bis 2023 die iDiv-Juniorforschungsgruppe <em>Biodiversit\u00e4t und Funktionen des Bodens<\/em> leitete. \u201eiDiv war ein gro\u00dfartiger Ort, um Ideen auszutauschen, inspirierende Diskussionen zu f\u00fchren und Kooperationen aufzubauen\u201c, sagt Potapov. \u201eDas hat mir bei der Entwicklung des Antrags sehr geholfen.\u201c Potapovs neu gef\u00f6rdertes Forschungsprojekt ist eng verbunden mit der Soil BON-Initiative \u2013 einem von iDiv-Forschenden koordinierten globalen Monitoring der biologischen Bodenvielfalt.<\/p>\n<p>Potapov ist seit 2024 Professor an der TU Dresden und dem Senckenberg Museum
