This workshop aims to introduce participants to the principles of good scientific practice, including responsible research documentation and authorship. Participants will discuss questionable research conduct and misconduct, and learn about possible solutions for difficult situations.<\/p>\n

The workshop is based on the curriculum \u201eGood Scientific Practice\u201c which was commissioned by and developed in cooperation with the German Ombudsman f\u00fcr die Wissenschaft.<\/em><\/p>\n

Topics include:<\/p>\n

  • Definition of good scientific practice and scientific misconduct & DFG guidelines<\/li>\n
  • iDiv Code of Conduct<\/li>\n
  • Data management and research documentation<\/li>\n
  • Authorship<\/li>\n
  • Supervision<\/li>\n
  • Dealing with scientific misconduct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Methods include case studies, breakout groups and plenary discussions.<\/p>\n
